Writing New Year’s Resolutions

Every year I make New Year’s Resolutions. I pledge to eat better, exercise more, etc. But I also revisit my writing goals. Always on the list is “finish that #%$^$*” book and start another. Sometimes to finish a short story or two.

This is my first year in years that I have started the new year without an obligation to a group blog. I want to make sure that I don’t give up blogging altogether, so I decided to make it a goal to blog at least once a week about some of the odd/interesting/different things I come across on my walks in my neighborhood or travels. Bonus points for a photo.

Ready… set… go!

Toast, anyone?

I came upon this toaster oven by the curb and it struck me as funny. Were they throwing it away? Giving it away? Does it even work?

I had an overwhelming urge to put a slice of bread in and wait next to it to see if anyone came by and said anything. Or go knock on the closest door to ask if they could plug it in for me. But instead I took a photo and went on my way.
